November 2007
We started out this month with a trip to the SMU campus in Dallas.
Bethany's coach had arranged for her team to play during halftime
of an SMU Women's Soccer game. Caroline was invited along,
as well. The girls had fun and we even got to take a peak
at the football stadium. We concluded the fall soccer season
on November 10. Both girls had fun playing this semester -
Bethany's come a long way since last year and Caroline
enjoyed just getting out onto the field and running after the
ball.
Uncle Clay came to Thanksgiving lunch at the girls' school.
Caroline's teacher assigned each of her students an Indian name.
"Kind Rain" seemed a very appropriate name for our friendly
Caroline.
We spent a few days before Thanksgiving at Will's lake house
at Canyon Lake, just north of San Antonio, TX. The weather
was gorgeous and we had a blast seeing the sights, feeding the
deer, making s'mores and other adventures. Schuyler even
kayaked from Will's neighborhood to our swimming spot across
the cove. He also ventured out the next morning to find a geocache
only accessible by water! We succeeded in adding 15 caches
to our total on our trip to Canyon Lake, including our 100th find. To learn
more about Schuyler's latest hobby, visit our geocaching profile.
On our way back home on Tuesday, we dropped the girls off at Oma's.
She'll bring them back to McKinney on Thursday just in time for turkey
dinner.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
