This has been a busy month and we have taken A LOT of pictures....you are probably only seeing about 30% of what we have on our computer.  This month has been full of events, and it's hard not to take pictures of two very cute and photogenic little girls!

Caroline's birthday lasted a week and she opened a present or two every day....that's because her attention span could only handle a few presents at a time.  She was more interested in the ribbon and paper anyway.  See the full account on the birthday page....

Caroline's First Birthday

On April 5, Schuyler's employer sponsored a family egg hunt on the grounds of the McKinney Facility.  We have attended this event the last 2 years, as well...Bethany keeps moving up in the age bracket.  She was very patient and sat on the sidewalk while Caroline had her turn first.  Caroline just learned about eggs going into an Easter basket that morning, so she didn't quite catch on, but she tried.  Bethany, on the other hand, went wild collecting eggs, but wasn't particularly efficient.  She would run by 10 eggs to stop and put another egg in her bucket.  She doesn't like to share her toys with Caroline, so we were very perplexed when she shared an egg with another little boy at the hunt....a complete stranger!

Caroline is my little climber...she loves to climb on anything.  She also has learned to go down steps, and get off the beds backwards, all by herself!  Bethany likes to cut paper these days.  She doesn't follow any lines or make anything, she just cuts up paper into little pieces.  As long as she doesn't cut herself and picks up her mess, she can cut paper if it makes her happy!

Three dads, three pre-schoolers and one tent!  Schuyler and two of his college buddies took their older kids on an overnight campout at Lake Ray Roberts. The moms stayed home with the babies...all three have younger siblings!  The camping crew cooked over an open fire, threw rocks in the lake, and played on the playground - what fun!  And yes, they did get some sleep at night!

Lindsey's dad (Papaw) spent Easter weekend with us and gave Bethany her first fishing lesson.  She was all psyched up about going fishing with Papaw, and they did catch a fish right away.  But when she saw the fish flopping around on the end of the line, she ran up the hill yelling, "I don't like fish!  I don't like fish!"  She eventually fished some more, but also took breaks to play with the ducks.  Later that evening when we were at home, I showed her the picture of her with her first fish.  She then asked, "Where is the picture of me running away from the fish?" Ha!

Bethany wasn't feeling very well on Easter Sunday and didn't want to have her picture taken.  She also wasn't too interested in hunting for eggs. Of course, she'd already participated in 3 egg hunts before Easter!

The last picture is a play date with a few of Bethany's classmates...can you guess how long the five girls sat at the table together?  Maybe 30 seconds!  Caroline had the most fun sitting at a real table, eating her own food, and Bethany's food and the lunch of the little girl next to her!
